ISN’T IT ABOUT TIME YOU BROKE UP WITH YOUR TOOTHBRUSH?

For some of us, changing our toothbrush is something that we might not consider until we wake up one morning and find ourselves staring down a “shaggy dog”!

The problem with a worn out brush, whether it is a manual or electric is that it simply will not do its job well, and worst of all will be harbouring bacteria.

This just doesn’t make sense when the goal of regular brushing is to clean away the bacteria and plaque that builds up on our teeth and gums.  Effective tooth brushing with a fluoride toothpaste is your prime weapon to prevent tooth decay and gum disease.

Our team of dentists at Brookfield Road Dental at Kenmore will generally advise you to change brushes every 3 months but a recent survey by Colgate found that 40% of Australians are not doing this.

With the cost of living crisis biting like never before, prevention is key to avoiding costly treatment down the road.
